The Unthread Inbox is a completely reimagined way of managing conversations across your Slack channels.

To get the most out of your inbox, be sure that you’ve set up the following:

• Connected your channels to start tracking conversations
• Set up assignment rules to set owners of incoming messages

How the Inbox works

The inbox is the primary way to manage all of your open threads from a single place. Conversations are sorted by status, and they’ll be moved to the “Closed” tab when you resolve conversations.

Some inbox basics:

• Click on a conversation to be right to the channel or thread
• Click on the 3 dots to bring up quick actions like manage conversation, close, snooze, etc.
• Click on the gear to manage settings like the sort order, as well as setting a backup rep if you’re out of office.
• Click on the graph to bring up your Unthread dashboard to view analytics and adjust your settings
• You’ll see a 📥 icon next to messages where the last response came from a customer

Navigating to the Inbox

To navigate to the Inbox, you can select the “Unthread” app from the left nav bar within the Slack application. If you don’t see it, you can search with the keyboard shortcut “command + T” and searching for Unthread.

Protips

1. We recommend “starring” the app so it stays at the top of your navigation in Slack.
